Data Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at WISKOTS. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data from various business functions into accurate, meaningful, and actionable insights that drive informed decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will support leadership and departments in monitoring performance, identifying trends, evaluating operational efficiency, enhancing reporting quality, and developing robust dashboards and analytical reports. This position requires a proactive approach to data management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Inventory, QHSE, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management

The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and validating data from multiple sources, including business systems, spreadsheets, reports, databases, and departmental records. Your duties will include:

• Consolidating information from diverse functions into structured and reliable datasets;
• Reviewing data for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and validity, and identifying and coordinating corrections for any discrepancies;
• Developing and maintaining standardized data-entry templates and reporting formats to ensure uniformity;
• Establishing clear data definitions, classifications, naming conventions, and reporting rules to maintain data integrity;
• Maintaining organized records of source data, calculations, assumptions, and report versions for auditability and traceability;
• Supporting the creation and maintenance of controlled master-data records for customers, suppliers, employees, projects, equipment, inventory, and services;
• Ensuring the proper handling of confidential and commercially sensitive information in compliance with data protection policies.

Data Analysis

In this role, you will analyze a wide range of operational, financial, commercial, human-resource, inventory, procurement, and project data to uncover actionable insights. Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying trends, correlations, patterns, variances, exceptions, and performance gaps within the data;
• Comparing actual performance against targets, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and historical results;
• Conducting root-cause analysis for significant deviations or recurring issues to inform corrective actions;
• Developing analytical models to support operational planning and strategic business decisions;
• Performing productivity, utilization, cost, revenue, profitability, and efficiency analyses;
• Evaluating project performance, including manpower deployment, equipment utilization, working hours, progress tracking, delays, standby time, and cost implications;
• Supporting forecasting and scenario analysis based on historical and current business data;
• Clearly distinguishing between confirmed information, assumptions, estimates, and analytical conclusions to ensure transparency in reporting.

Reporting and Dashboards

The Data Analyst will prepare and present periodic management reports, dashboards, charts, summaries, and analytical presentations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards tailored to different departments and management levels;
• Transforming complex data into clear, understandable, and visually compelling formats;
• Automating recurring reports where feasible to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort;
• Maintaining consistency between source data, calculations, dashboards, and final reports;
• Creating exception reports that highlight significant deviations, risks, and required management actions;
• Providing concise analytical commentary that explains what has changed, why it has changed, and the potential business impact;
• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual performance-review processes with accurate and timely insights.

Zoho and Business-System Support

This role will involve close collaboration with IT and business teams to support data-related activities within Zoho applications and other company systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Extracting, consolidating, and analyzing data from Zoho applications and other enterprise systems;
• Supporting the development of reports and dashboards using Zoho’s analytical capabilities;
• Assisting departments in improving the quality and consistency of data entered into Zoho;
• Reviewing workflows, fields, classifications, and reporting structures from a data-analysis perspective to enhance usability;
• Coordinating with system administrators or external providers to address technical configurations and ensure optimal data utilization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI or Tableau is essential. Experience with Zoho Analytics or similar platforms is highly desirable. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner are critical. Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and reporting standards will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in data practices.
