About the Role

The Senior Team Manager (Civil Engineering) will play a pivotal role in overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, and industry best practices. This position demands strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering results in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee day-to-day site operations, supervise work crews, and manage contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities strictly comply with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors, resolving complex construction challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and operations teams, to facilitate timely project delivery within defined standards.
  • Site Management: Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and proactively address construction-related issues to mitigate risks and delays.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control and assurance processes, including soil, aggregate, cement, and field compaction testing, to uphold construction integrity.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion workplace safety initiatives, enforce best practices, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and specifications in practical settings.
  • Field Expertise: Hands-on experience with soil testing, aggregate analysis, cement quality assessment, and field compaction procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Proven track record in construction quality control and assurance methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated capability in managing teams, contractors, and cross-functional projects with a focus on efficiency and excellence.
  • Safety & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations and construction industry best practices.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
