Credit Controller - Khobar

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our team in Khobar. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of client accounts and related financial information. Your responsibilities will align with Bureau Veritas’ stringent Quality Assurance System, including adherence to the BV Code of Ethics and Group policies, while contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our credit management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Take ownership of a designated customer portfolio, ensuring proactive and systematic follow-up to secure timely payments and maintain healthy accounts receivable (AR) balances.
• Issue Resolution: Address customer payment concerns or disputes with professionalism and diligence, identifying root causes and proposing viable solutions to resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
• Escalation and Approval: Collaborate closely with your supervisor to escalate non-routine concerns or complex payment scenarios, seeking approval for tailored resolutions that balance customer satisfaction with organizational risk management.
• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to optimize cash flow, minimize financial risk, and uphold customer satisfaction standards. Your contributions will support the broader objectives of the finance department and the organization as a whole.
• Performance Targets: Demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving monthly goals and targets set by management, including the effective control and reduction of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) within your designated area.
• Customer Engagement: Conduct on-site visits to customers as necessary to obtain balance confirmations, foster strong professional relationships, and ensure a consistent and reliable payment flow.
• Communication and Compliance: Utilize dunning letters and other communication tools to proactively alert customers about overdue invoices, while maintaining meticulous account reconciliation and balance confirmation processes. Your role will also involve preparing and managing business correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Adaptability: Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned by your line manager, whether on a permanent or temporary basis, to support the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a closely related financial discipline.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Negotiation and Problem-Solving: A talent for negotiating payment terms, resolving disputes, and finding mutually beneficial solutions that align with organizational objectives.
