Position Overview

Join Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage business in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, as a Testing Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of high-voltage capacitor banks. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct High-Voltage Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of high-voltage capacitor banks in accordance with prepared test instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data to ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
• Adhere to Protocols: Strictly follow all test instructions and established protocols to maintain consistency, accuracy, and reliability in testing procedures.
• Prioritize Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards by rigorously adhering to all safety rules and regulations during testing activities. Identify and report potential safety hazards through the Intelex tool to mitigate risks and ensure a secure working environment.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles: Apply lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, 8 Wastes, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement techniques, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste in testing processes.
• Quality Assurance: Identify and report quality issues using the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) system in SAP/MES to drive corrective actions and maintain product integrity.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret high-voltage electrical drawings, ensuring accurate execution of testing procedures.
• Training and Development: Complete mandatory training courses, including Safety and Lean Six Sigma (White Belt), to enhance your skills and contribute to the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including colleagues, supervisors, and management, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with business objectives.
• Task Execution: Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall objectives of the High Voltage business unit.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Educational Background: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a solid foundation in electrical systems and testing methodologies.
• Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a testing or quality assurance role within the electrical or high-voltage industry.
• Technical Skills: A strong understanding of electrical symbols, schematic diagrams, and mechanical drawings, enabling you to interpret complex technical documents accurately.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential to ensure clear and concise communication in a global business environment.
