Production Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) – Dry Type / Cast Resin Transformers | Saudi Arabia

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineer specializing in Dry Type and Cast Resin Transformers to join a prestigious client’s operations in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of transformers, aligning with industry standards and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in transformer production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Oversight: Oversee and manage the production processes for Dry Type and Cast Resin Transformers, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of transformer manufacturing to troubleshoot production challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime and defects.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending enhancements to boost productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence while meeting production targets and deadlines.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions, while ensuring compliance with ISO, IMS (Integrated Management Systems), and OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to guarantee that all transformers meet or exceed industry and client specifications, reducing the risk of non-conformities and rework.
• Production Planning: Assist in production planning activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and capacity management, to optimize output and meet customer demands.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in a transformer manufacturing plant, with a focus on Dry Type and Cast Resin Transformers.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in production environments.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated experience in supervising production teams and achieving performance targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO, IMS, and OH&S Management Systems is advantageous, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Competency in using computer systems for production monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
