Store Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to oversee the operations of our Supermarket in Madina, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth. As a key member of the MAF Retail team, you will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, optimizing sales performance, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in retail management, financial acumen, and a commitment to driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The Store Manager will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Strategic Implementation: Execute MAF Retail’s supermarket plans in alignment with corporate strategies and procedures, collaborating closely with the Head Office and Corporate Office to ensure seamless integration and adherence to organizational goals.
• Performance Analysis & Optimization: Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments to evaluate commercial performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actionable strategies to enhance profitability and sales turnover.
• Financial Stewardship: Drive sales and profitability while maintaining strict control over operational costs within allocated budgetary parameters to ensure financial sustainability.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Review and analyze stock and sales reports to identify trends, mitigate risks such as out-of-stock situations, and implement corrective measures to optimize inventory levels and merchandise availability.
• Departmental Coordination: Foster collaboration with Department Heads to ensure efficient stock management, timely deliveries, and adherence to merchandising standards to meet customer demand.
• Asset Maintenance & Compliance: Supervise the upkeep of supermarket assets, ensuring they are well-maintained and operational. Uphold stringent hygiene standards, safety protocols, and security measures to create a secure and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Continuous Improvement: Initiate and lead comparative studies across departments to identify best practices, streamline processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a managerial role, with a strong emphasis on retail operations.
• Proven leadership experience in a supermarket or retail environment, with a deep understanding of merchandising, inventory control, and customer service excellence.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams across all levels of the organization.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and corporate partners.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and implement data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
