Continuous Airworthiness engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Continuous Airworthiness Engineer to join our dynamic team at Airbus Helicopters Arabia for Aircraft Maintenance. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the ongoing airworthiness of our helicopter fleet by overseeing technical compliance, coordinating maintenance activities, and maintaining meticulous documentation. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting both maintenance and material departments while upholding the highest standards of aviation safety, quality, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

The Continuous Airworthiness Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of technical and administrative duties to ensure the operational integrity and compliance of our aircraft. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring full adherence to aviation, safety, quality, and export control regulations, as well as Airbus Helicopters’ internal management systems, policies, and procedures. This includes staying abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Maintenance Planning and Coordination: Developing, updating, and executing short and long-term maintenance schedules for helicopters. This involves planning all scheduled maintenance activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely execution to meet compliance deadlines.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including aircraft history, configuration changes, defects, and discrepancies. This includes updating flight data, airframe and engine logbooks, and ensuring both hard and automated records are current and accessible.
• Work Order Management: Issuing, tracking, and managing routine, unscheduled, and configuration change work orders. This requires close collaboration with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Technical Support and Advisory: Providing expert technical guidance to the maintenance and material departments, assisting in troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper implementation of Airworthiness Directives and other technical requirements.
• Archiving and Reporting: Maintaining organized and secure archives of all maintenance-related documentation, including logbooks, work orders, and compliance records. Preparing and submitting reports as required by regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Additional Duties: Performing any other tasks as assigned by management to support the continuous airworthiness and operational efficiency of the fleet.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong technical background in aviation maintenance, coupled with exceptional organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree or certification in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the aviation industry, preferably with exposure to helicopter maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including EASA and/or FAA standards, and familiarity with Airbus Helicopters’ management systems.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tracking software and other digital tools for record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
• A commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
