Production Manager - Biotechnology Industry

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Manager to oversee all site operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production that meets customer and pharmaceutical requirements while optimizing production processes. This role involves acting as a Project Manager during plant construction and setup, and executing the country/region industrial plan.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Lead technology transfer processes, coordinating plant construction, equipment implementation, regulatory compliance, team integration, and stakeholder communication.
• Optimize site production operations by managing resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and biosafety standards, coordinating supply chains, controlling costs, planning capacities, and driving continuous improvement.
• Lead and coordinate facility design, construction, validation, maintenance, and industrial projects, ensuring operational reliability, regulatory compliance, biosafety, quality standards, environmental protection, and safe working conditions.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Management initiatives, implementing Lean methodologies, optimizing processes, eliminating waste, developing team capabilities, and enhancing operational performance, quality, safety, delivery, and employee engagement.
• Lead and develop the site team by defining the organizational structure, managing resources and budgets, fostering cross-functional collaboration, promoting employee engagement and training, and ensuring a productive work environment aligned with operational objectives.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related fields. A master’s degree in business administration, operations management, or similar would be an advantage.
• 5-10 years of experience in biotechnology industrial production, with at least 5 years in a similar management position, demonstrating knowledge of GMP standards, quality, safety, occupational health, environmental regulations, and biosafety requirements. Experience in project management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective decision-making capabilities, strategic planning mindset, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to empower, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• English proficiency (high level, written and verbal skills).
• Preference will be given to Saudi nationals in line with local employment regulations.
