Project Finance Manager

The Project Finance Manager is a critical role responsible for the financial structuring, deal execution, and risk mitigation of major infrastructure, energy, and transportation projects. This professional will build and maintain complex financial models, optimize capital allocations, and lead commercial negotiations with international lenders and investors.

• Financial Modeling & Structuring:
• Develop and maintain macro-driven Excel financial models for project bidding and execution.
• Structure optimal capital allocations involving senior debt, equity, ECAs, and DFIs.
• Conduct sensitivity, scenario, and risk analysis to evaluate cash flows.
• Evaluate and structure project payment mechanisms, optimizing for User-Pays or Government-Pays frameworks.

• Deal Execution & Capital Raising:
• Manage the end-to-end financial closing process for new project concessions and SPVs.
• Prepare high-quality IMs, pitch decks, and term sheets for prospective lenders and investors.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive financing terms.

• Risk Mitigation & Commercial Strategy:
• Develop and execute hedging strategies to protect project margins.
• Review and align financial models with core project agreements.
• Ensure compliance with evolving market standards, including ESG requirements for green bonds or sustainability-linked financing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Civil/Industrial Engineering. An MBA, CFA charter, or Master’s in Infrastructure Finance.
• 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in Project Finance, Investment Banking, or structured finance.
• Proven track record of reaching Financial Close on major infrastructure, energy, or transportation projects.

• Technical Skills:
• Expert Financial Modeler with advanced mastery of Excel.
• Contractual Literacy with deep understanding of PPP and EPC+F mechanics, concession laws, and commercial contract drafting.
• Macroeconomic Strategy with strong knowledge of corporate tax laws, accounting standards for SPVs, and international banking regulations.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Communication to translate complex financial structures into clear concepts for diverse teams.
• Resilience to perform under high-pressure, tight deadlines typical of international bidding processes.
