Lead Engineer - Field Services

The Lead Engineer - Field Services is responsible for overseeing all necessary resources and logistics to perform service and maintenance activities on client sites/properties. These activities involve maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products. This role encompasses all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), manages maintenance installations, and provides technical services on-site. The incumbent is responsible for the quality of their work, adheres to prescribed work instructions, and operates within a well-defined operational framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting on-site life extensions, repairs, and service activities related to inspections for installed fleets and supervising the construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment on client sites.
• Performing on-site machining, non-destructive testing, laminations, windings, critical welds, and generator diagnostics.
• Making engineering decisions and developing conceptual knowledge of the professional discipline.
• Applying business management knowledge and understanding how team members' work contributes to the domain.
• Resolving problems using established procedures and collaborating with colleagues to find solutions.
• Building strong client relationships and serving as an interface between the client and GE Vernova.

Basic qualifications:

• For roles outside the US: Basic experience in the function and digital audio workstation knowledge. Equivalent to a university-accredited degree (or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience).
• For roles in the US: University-accredited degree (or a high school diploma and/or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience).
