Lead Engineer - Field Services

The Lead Engineer - Field Services is responsible for overseeing all necessary resources and logistics to perform service and maintenance activities on client sites/properties. These activities involve maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products. This role encompasses all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), manages maintenance installations, and provides technical services on-site. The incumbent is responsible for the quality of their work, adheres to prescribed work instructions, and operates within a well-defined operational framework with detailed standard operational task sequences.

• Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting on-site life extension activities, repairs, and service inspections for installed fleets, and supervising the construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment on client sites.
• Performing on-site machining, non-destructive testing, laminations, windings, critical welds, and generator diagnostics.
• Making engineering decisions and developing conceptual knowledge of the professional discipline.
• Applying business management knowledge and understanding how team work contributes to the domain.
• Solving problems using established procedures, consulting supervisors or senior team members when necessary.
• Collaborating with colleagues to resolve issues and building strong client relationships, serving as an interface between the client and GE Vernova.

Qualifications:

• For roles outside the US: Basic function and digital audio workstation experience required. Equivalent to a university-accredited bachelor's degree (or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience).
• For roles in the US: University-accredited bachelor's degree (or high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience).

Desired characteristics include strong oral and written communication skills, solid relational and leadership skills, ability to work autonomously, and strong problem-solving skills.
