Job Summary

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of web-based software platforms by identifying, debugging, and resolving issues. This role serves as the escalation point for Level 1 support and collaborates closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability.

Additionally, this role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights by designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Modeling, Cleaning, and Transformation (ETL) utilizing DAX and Power Query
• Create, maintain, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to visualize key performance indicators
• Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, Azure) to clean, transform, and model data for analysis using Power Query and DAX
• Ensure reports are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly, managing workspaces and data security within the Power BI service
• Support existing IT systems, infrastructure, and databases
• Collaborate with senior developers, product managers, and testers to deliver features
• Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and best practices
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to web-based software platforms
• Reproduce issues in test/staging environments to identify bugs or misconfigurations
• Conduct detailed log analysis, SQL/database checks, and API validation

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Support Engineering
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ability to write basic queries
• Expert-level knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query
• Strong SQL skills for database querying and data manipulation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, modeling)
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and communication skills
