Project Director

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of a transformative program within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

The Project Director will be entrusted with the following core responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Governance: Develop and execute a comprehensive project strategy that encompasses governance frameworks, performance metrics, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Ensure alignment with the Kingdom’s development goals and land-release strategies.
• Multidisciplinary Team Leadership: Direct and inspire a diverse team of consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve performance targets, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Project Execution & Delivery: Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design management, construction delivery, and seamless handover. Implement robust value engineering and lifecycle optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Stakeholder & Authority Engagement: Serve as the primary interface with government entities, regulatory authorities, and external partners, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with project objectives.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including delivery delays, budget overruns, and interface conflicts. Resolve escalated issues with decisive action and strategic foresight.
• Financial & Commercial Oversight: Manage project budgets, procurement processes, and commercial functions to ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality or compliance.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide executive-level reporting, including progress dashboards, risk registers, and performance metrics, to senior leadership and stakeholders. Maintain rigorous governance across all project functions.
• Policy & Compliance Adherence: Uphold all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

Qualifications & Professional Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent designation is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in large-scale construction and development projects, with a mandatory background in delivering major projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prior experience in a PMC environment is essential.
• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design, construction, commissioning, and handover. Proven track record in managing high-rise buildings, commercial developments, towers, and mixed-use projects.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the capacity to make critical decisions under pressure in a multi-stakeholder environment.
