Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing site activities with precision and expertise. Your core duties will include:
- Project Management: Planning, assigning resources, and coordinating manpower and tools to align with contractual obligations while maintaining continuous site operations.
- Technical Leadership: Providing expert technical assistance to ensure all work scopes are completed according to project requirements, with a focus on loop checks, commissioning, and functional testing.
- System Optimization: Leading unit start-up procedures and performance tests to validate the safe and efficient operation of machinery, including troubleshooting control system anomalies and evaluating operational parameters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the primary technical liaison between customers and the Baker Hughes engineering team, addressing technical concerns and facilitating seamless collaboration across all relevant functions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Preparing accurate and professional reports, utilizing company e-tools to retrieve technical documentation, and managing packing lists, bills of material, and drawings to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Safety & Environmental Stewardship: Upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance during all in-field activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in field service activities within the Oil & Gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of MKVI and MKVIe control systems, with a strong grasp of rotating equipment control philosophies, including gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, and their auxiliary systems.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and decision-making.
- Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, with a keen eye for detail in identifying and mitigating potential risks.
