Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of testing engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Testing Process Management: Develop, implement, and monitor testing protocols, methodologies, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Oversee the execution of test plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define quality benchmarks, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate issues before they escalate.
• Technical Oversight: Review and approve test reports, documentation, and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements. Utilize advanced testing tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and precision.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the testing team and other departments, including engineering, operations, and management, to facilitate seamless collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all testing activities comply with local, national, and international safety regulations, as well as Hitachi’s internal policies. Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance testing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall project outcomes. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in quality management or testing methodologies are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within testing, quality assurance, or a related field, with a strong background in industrial or technical testing environments.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing testing strategies, including familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASTM, or IEC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions to improve testing outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams, negotiate with stakeholders, and present technical information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in using testing software, tools, and equipment, as well as familiarity with automation and digital transformation initiatives in testing processes.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with a track record of delivering high-impact results in fast-paced environments.
