Job Overview

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Dammam. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of testing engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Testing Oversight: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive testing plans, procedures, and protocols to validate the functionality, reliability, and safety of rail systems and components.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all testing activities adhere to international standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific guidelines, with a focus on minimizing defects and optimizing performance.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the testing team, resolving complex issues and ensuring accurate interpretation of test results.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of testing activities, results, and compliance documentation, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to align testing activities with project milestones and deliverables.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in testing processes and implement corrective actions to mitigate issues, ensuring project continuity and safety.
• Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of the testing team, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in testing and quality assurance within the rail, transportation, or heavy industry sectors.
• Proven leadership experience in supervising testing teams, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, EN), and regulatory frameworks applicable to rail systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using testing software and tools, as well as familiarity with CAD and simulation tools is a plus.
• Certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.
