Overview
As the Women’s First Team Player Care Manager at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will serve as the cornerstone of support for our elite women’s football team, ensuring their seamless transition into the club and the local community. Your role is pivotal in managing off-pitch logistics and personal welfare, empowering players to focus entirely on their performance and growth. You will act as a trusted advisor, facilitator, and advocate, ensuring every player feels valued, understood, and fully supported throughout their journey with the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Relocation and Onboarding:
- Orchestrate the relocation of players and staff, securing safe, comfortable, and fully furnished accommodation in Al Khobar.
- Manage all aspects of airport arrivals, including temporary housing, transport orientation, and initial settling-in support.
- Assist players in establishing essential services such as bank accounts, mobile phone contracts, utilities, and internet connectivity.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Government Relations to streamline visa procurement, residency permits (Iqama), and mandatory medical screenings.
- Player Welfare and Lifestyle Support:
- Serve as the primary off-field contact for players and staff, addressing personal welfare, healthcare, and daily living needs with discretion and empathy.
- Deliver tailored cultural orientation programs to facilitate the integration of international players into Saudi society.
- Coordinate access to lifestyle education, language training, and personal development initiatives to enhance players’ overall well-being.
- Provide comprehensive support to players’ families, including school enrollment for children, childcare solutions, and broader community integration.
- Matchday and Team Operations:
- Partner with the Team Manager to oversee hotel arrangements and player welfare during away fixtures, ensuring comfort and readiness.
- Manage ticket allocations for players’ family and friends at both home and away matches, balancing accessibility with logistical efficiency.
- Work in tandem with Marketing and Commercial departments to coordinate player appearances, always prioritizing their well-being and professional commitments.
- Player Development and Transition:
- Organize and facilitate workshops focused on critical life skills, including financial literacy, media training, and career transition planning.
- Oversee the off-boarding process for departing players, ensuring smooth transitions in accommodation, account management, and relocation logistics.
- Provide unwavering support to players at every stage of their tenure with the club, from arrival to departure.
Qualifications
Desirable:
- Prior experience within women’s professional sports environments.
- Educational background in Sports Management, Psychology, Social Work, Hospitality, or a related field.
Essential:
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an elite sporting environment, preferably within football player care, team operations, or player welfare.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
- In-depth understanding of Saudi Arabian culture and the unique challenges faced by international players relocating to the region.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate trusted relationships while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays, to accommodate the dynamic needs of the team.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting international athletes in adapting to new environments.
- Background in coordinating player education, well-being, or lifestyle programs.
