Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure to support business operations. Your core duties will include:

• System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor servers, networks, databases, and applications to identify and resolve issues before they impact business continuity. Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and ensure optimal uptime.
• Incident and Problem Management: Respond to and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, following established procedures to minimize downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose root causes and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Infrastructure Deployment and Configuration: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services. Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard IT assets and data. Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and reduce latency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions to support decision-making and compliance reporting.
• Collaboration and Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage for critical systems and services.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows/Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues efficiently. A proactive approach to identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications in IT operations, cloud computing, or cybersecurity will be considered an advantage.
