Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Equipment Technician / Dental Equipment Service Engineer / Dental Chair Technician to join our team at Nadia Al-Mutairi Contracting in Dammam. This role is critical to ensuring the optimal functionality, maintenance, and repair of dental equipment across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in dental machinery, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and calibrate dental equipment, including chairs, X-ray machines, sterilization units, and other specialized devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance testing to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of dental equipment. Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company and regulatory protocols.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify root causes. Perform repairs on-site or coordinate with suppliers for parts replacement as needed.
• Customer Support and Training: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, demonstrating equipment operation, and offering training sessions to dental staff on proper usage and maintenance procedures.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all equipment adheres to local and international safety regulations, including electrical, mechanical, and hygiene standards. Maintain accurate records of service reports, warranties, and compliance documentation.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, coordinate with procurement teams to order necessary components, and maintain an organized service vehicle or workshop.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and management, to report on equipment performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma or degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Certification in dental equipment servicing is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in servicing, repairing, and maintaining dental equipment, with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of dental machinery, including chairs, compressors, autoclaves, X-ray systems, and CAD/CAM equipment. Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems is essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently or under minimal supervision.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Dammam region for on-site service calls. Additional certifications in safety protocols or equipment-specific training are advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred to facilitate seamless communication with clients and colleagues.
