Key Responsibilities

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing systems and processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your core duties will include:

• Process Optimization: Conduct detailed time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies in production lines and recommend improvements to enhance throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Work Measurement and Standards: Develop and maintain accurate work standards, labor standards, and performance metrics to support operational planning and decision-making.
• Facility Layout and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize plant layouts, ensuring optimal workflow, material handling, and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Lean Manufacturing Implementation: Lead initiatives to implement Lean Manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma methodologies, Kaizen events, and Value Stream Mapping to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Ergonomics and Safety: Assess workplace conditions to enhance employee safety, comfort, and productivity by recommending ergonomic solutions and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
• Cost Reduction and Waste Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities through material optimization, energy efficiency, and waste reduction strategies while maintaining product quality and performance.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize statistical tools and software to analyze production data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects, including equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capacity expansion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Training and Development: Provide technical guidance and training to production teams and supervisors to ensure adherence to best practices and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in industrial engineering tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, or similar software for process modeling and analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into practical, actionable solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO standards is highly desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams across different departments and levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
