Key Responsibilities

• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Execute corrective measures to restore equipment and systems to optimal working conditions.
• System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to analyze mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Diagnose faults and implement efficient solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Equipment Upkeep and Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, calibration, and part replacements. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to extend equipment lifespan.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and safety inspections.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, work orders, and maintenance logs to track activities, outcomes, and recommendations. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and management, to align maintenance strategies with organizational goals. Provide guidance and training to junior staff on best practices in maintenance and safety procedures.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and breakdowns to restore operations efficiently. Develop and implement contingency plans to address critical failures and minimize operational impact.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a diploma in a relevant discipline with extensive practical experience may be considered.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance engineering, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or facility management environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) and diagnostic tools is advantageous.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Electrical Safety Certification, or other industry-recognized credentials are highly desirable.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and convey technical information clearly. Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Safety Awareness: A proactive approach to safety, with a deep understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards).
