The Role: Managing Investments Associate

We are seeking a dynamic Managing Investments Associate (holding CME1 and CME4 certifications) to assume full ownership of critical functions including portfolio construction, fund operations, and counterparty management from day one. This role reports directly to the CEO, offering a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Miza’s strategic vision and operational excellence.

What You Will Own

Counterparty Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, including fund houses, custodians, distribution platforms, and global asset managers.
• Orchestrate the execution of operational workflows across counterparties to ensure seamless handling of subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls.
• Address routine operational and investment-related inquiries from partners, fostering strong and reliable relationships.

Portfolio Construction & Screening

• Collaborate with the investment team to evaluate and screen funds, fund managers, and investment strategies for inclusion in client portfolios.
• Develop and maintain a robust investment universe, conduct comprehensive due diligence, and prepare comparative analyses and fee benchmarking reports.
• Perform periodic portfolio reviews and execute rebalancing analyses to optimize client investment outcomes.

Investment Writing

• Prepare high-quality investment memos, fund summaries, market commentaries, and client-facing investment notes.
• Translate complex investment content between English and Arabic to ensure clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all investment documentation.

Fund Operations & Dealing

• Support the execution of trades across diverse asset classes, including funds, equities, and fixed income.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of positions, confirmations, and settlements in collaboration with the operations team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal investment processes as Miza scales its operations and client base.

Measures of Success

Your performance will be evaluated based on the accuracy and timeliness of counterparty operations, the quality and consistency of investment documentation, your contributions to portfolio construction and screening, and your reliability in managing fund operations as Miza grows.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive professional with the following qualifications and attributes:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset management, wealth management, private banking, or investment operations.
• Holding mandatory CME1 and CME4 certifications.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data, fund documentation, and reconciliation processes.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance real-world workflows, beyond mere drafting assistance.
• Bonus qualifications: Experience in private markets, alternative investments, or global funds; familiarity with CMA-regulated environments.
