Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at Gulf Mas, based in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by managing accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT), corporate tax, and other statutory obligations, while staying abreast of changes in tax legislation.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Audits and Reviews: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth and efficient audit processes.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for revenue enhancement, presenting insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Technology and Systems: Utilize accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting. Experience in the Gulf region is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions and pivot tables.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data interpretation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
