Engineering Trainee- Saudization

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in supporting technical tasks at the sub-system and component levels for current and future products within the business unit. Your responsibilities will span the entire product lifecycle, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing. Your primary focus will be on:

• Product Problem Investigation: Analyzing product issues, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will document findings and resolutions under the guidance of senior team members.
• Process Execution: Engaging in key business processes such as Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), and Current Product Support (CPS). You will execute technical processes like Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, and Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG), utilizing specialized tools such as 7-step problem-solving methodologies, design review checklists, and other analytical frameworks to support high-quality decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Gathering input from technical managers, project leaders, engineers, and supplier partners to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that enhance product quality and project outcomes.
• Decision-Making and Problem Resolution: Applying academic knowledge and practical experience to make informed decisions that advance projects while maintaining stringent quality standards. You will independently resolve moderately complex technical challenges with a higher degree of accountability to the project team.
• Process Improvement: Executing established work processes and systems while contributing to the enhancement of these frameworks. You will engage in continuous learning to deepen your technical and product knowledge.
• Team Contribution: Demonstrating strong teamwork and influencing within your workgroup. You will contribute to collective goals and develop proficiency in competencies critical to your success in this role.

Required Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

• Product Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve product issues using a structured approach that prioritizes customer protection. This includes determining assignable causes, implementing data-driven solutions, and addressing systemic root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Product Verification and Validation Management: Proficiency in coordinating the development of verification and validation plans, identifying failure modes, managing risks, and evaluating test results to ensure products meet technical and customer requirements. You will produce technical documentation to support informed product decisions.
• Product Failure Mode Avoidance: Skills in mitigating potential failure modes by analyzing interfaces, functions, requirements, interactions, and control factors. You will identify prioritized failure modes and causes to improve product reliability and performance.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong foundation in engineering principles and methodologies, with the ability to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. Familiarity with tools such as 7-step problem-solving and design review checklists is advantageous.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, convey technical insights, and contribute to team objectives. Ability to influence and drive consensus within a collaborative environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
