Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse / Logistics Worker at Sulzer, your core duties will encompass a range of essential functions designed to maintain the integrity and efficiency of our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and Inspection: Accurately receive incoming goods, meticulously verify shipments against documentation, and inspect items for quality and completeness to ensure compliance with order specifications.
• Inventory Management: Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment with a keen eye for detail, ensuring all orders are processed efficiently and accurately. Maintain precise records of inventory movements and update logs to reflect real-time stock levels.
• Storage and Organization: Systematically organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and facilitating easy retrieval. Adhere to labeling and categorization standards to streamline inventory management.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols, operational guidelines, and company policies to create a secure working environment. Participate in regular safety training and remain vigilant to potential hazards.
• Inventory Audits: Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits to verify stock accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support reconciliation efforts. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on process efficiencies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education and Experience: Vocational training or equivalent practical experience in warehouse operations, with up to two years of relevant hands-on experience in a similar environment.
• Technical Proficiency: A foundational understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control procedures, and basic data entry skills to maintain accurate records.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in performing tasks, with the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Physical Stamina: The capacity to lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to specified limits, along with the endurance to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.
