OPERATOR

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Operator will work closely with the Quality Inspector and other team members to uphold product specifications, manage equipment setups, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a proactive approach, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Support: Assist the Quality Inspector in verifying that finished goods meet standard specifications and regulatory requirements. Monitor production processes to identify and address any deviations promptly.
• Line Maintenance and Cleanliness: Ensure the production line is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each shift and during month-end closures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination and enhance operational efficiency.
• Production Reporting: Accurately complete and submit daily production reports to the Production Team Leader. Document production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality observations, to support data-driven decision-making.
• Machine Setup and Changeovers: Perform precise machine setups and execute size changeovers in accordance with operational guidelines. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate any mechanical or technical challenges to the Lead Operator or Line Setter for resolution.
• Material Handling: Manage the proper handling, storage, and movement of raw materials to and from the Raw Material warehouse. Ensure materials are correctly labeled, stored, and returned as needed to maintain inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a proactive communicator by promptly reporting any machine malfunctions, quality concerns, or operational disruptions to the Lead Operator and Line Setter. Foster a collaborative work environment by participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies. Actively participate in toolbox talks and safety training sessions led by the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) officer. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in the development, planning, and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance, efficiency, and safety. Contribute to the evaluation of the OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) management system and support corrective actions to drive ongoing improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant technical training or certification in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience as an Operator or in a similar role is preferred. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential. Proficiency in reading and interpreting production documentation, as well as basic computer skills, is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
