Role Overview

As a Field Service Technician at Vallourec, you will play a critical role in implementing and coordinating a robust Employee Health, Safety, and Environmental System. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policies and industry standards. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Execution: Perform essential job card tasks, including OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) pipe preparation, visual thread inspection, supervision of VAM connection make-up, pipe handling, and accessory inspections—both onshore and at rig sites.
• Field Service Inspections: Conduct VAM Field Service inspections in accordance with established procedures, the VAM running book, and customer-specific instructions to ensure compliance and quality.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and issue timely customer inspection reports, update the VAM Field Service online database with job report data, and obtain signed service field tickets from operations.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all business activities align with company policies, including code of conduct and ethics, safety protocols, environmental standards, travel, and expense guidelines.
• Customer Engagement: Address technical inquiries related to VAM connections and possess the authority to accept or reject connections and/or make-up of joints at the rig site.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of service quality to drive customer satisfaction and operational success.

Required Competencies

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with OCTG Corrosion Resistance Alloys (CRA) materials.
• Proactivity: Demonstrate initiative in requesting and completing competency assessments, closing any identified gaps promptly, and taking VFP Exams within defined timelines.
• Collaboration: Liaise effectively with Oil & Gas customer teams, including drilling, casing, and completion departments, as well as the VAM Field Service planning desk.

Education and Language Requirements
