Position Overview

Dar As Sihha Medical Center, located in Dammam, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Information Technology Specialist will play a critical role in managing and enhancing our IT systems. Your primary duties will include:

• System Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Network Management: Monitor and manage the center’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to guarantee secure and uninterrupted connectivity.
• Technical Support: Provide first-level and escalated technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly and professionally to minimize downtime.
• Cybersecurity: Implement and enforce robust security protocols to protect sensitive patient data and IT assets from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• IT Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventories of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, while ensuring timely upgrades and replacements to support operational efficiency.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure, install, and maintain IT solutions, ensuring alignment with the center’s strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and backup procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or emergencies.
• User Training & Documentation: Conduct training sessions for staff on IT best practices, system functionalities, and security awareness. Additionally, maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role, preferably within the healthcare or medical sector.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS), and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with non-technical staff and senior management.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and proactive work environment.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare IT regulations, such as HIPAA, and experience implementing compliant IT solutions in a medical setting is a plus.
