Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide on-site technical support, inspection, and maintenance for gear box systems, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to proactively identify potential issues, reduce equipment failures, and extend the lifespan of gear box systems. Document all maintenance activities and report findings to management.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including engineers and project managers, to assess system performance, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions. Maintain clear and concise communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to ensure a secure working environment. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards during field operations.
• Training & Development: Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and field personnel to enhance their skills in gear box maintenance and repair. Stay updated with the latest advancements in gear box technology and industry best practices.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs. Generate detailed reports on system performance, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented for management review.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant technical education and extensive hands-on experience in gear box systems may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in gear box maintenance, repair, or field service operations, preferably within the oil and gas, energy, or industrial sectors. Experience with high-voltage systems or rotating equipment is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems, gear box diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software for maintenance management and reporting. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance is essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance, safety protocols, or gear box systems (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)) are highly desirable.
