Senior Contract Administrator - Large-Scale Mixed-Use Developments, KSA
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to support the successful delivery of large-scale mixed-use developments across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing commercial correspondence, supporting claims and change management processes, and minimizing contractual risks while safeguarding the interests of the client and project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex developments comprising residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, public realm, and infrastructure components.
- Administer construction and consultancy contracts in accordance with project requirements and contract conditions.
- Review contract documents to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project objectives.
- Maintain contract registers, correspondence logs, insurance records, bonds, warranties, and contractual notices.
- Monitor contractor and consultant performance against contractual requirements.
- Manage variation orders, contract amendments, change requests, and extension of time submissions.
- Evaluate contractual impacts of design changes and scope modifications.
- Provide recommendations on entitlement, contractual compliance, and risk allocation.
- Review and assess contractor claims, including prolongation, disruption, acceleration, and additional cost claims.
- Assist in preparing contractual responses and recommendations.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, adjudication, and arbitration when required.
- Identify contractual risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
- Support the commercial team in cost and contract management activities.
- Ensure adherence to approved governance, procurement, and contract administration procedures.
- Participate in risk workshops and provide contract-related advice to project team.
- Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, legal advisors, and project management teams.
- Prepare contract administration reports and presentations for senior management.
- Attend project meetings and provide contractual guidance on project matters.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, project governance requirements, and corporate policies.
- Monitor adherence to contract terms, performance obligations, and key milestones.
- Maintain accurate records to support audits and project reviews.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of contract administration experience within the construction or engineering industry.
- Demonstrated experience on large-scale mixed-use developments in the Middle East, preferably within Saudi Arabia.
- Experience administering contracts under internationally recognized forms such as: FIDIC, NEC
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction procurement, and commercial management principles.
- Experience with claims analysis, variation management, and dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of project controls, cost management, and contract administration systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
