Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Transformation Manager to lead the origination, development, and execution of transformative finance initiatives for clients in the Energy, Natural Resources, and related sectors across Riyadh and Al Khobar. This pivotal role will empower CFOs and finance leadership teams to redefine their finance functions through innovative strategies, cutting-edge technology enablement, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will drive large-scale transformation programs, foster trusted C-suite relationships, and contribute to the expansion of our Finance Transformation practice in the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the design and implementation of end-to-end finance transformation engagements, covering finance strategy, target operating model development, process optimization, governance frameworks, data management, and technology enablement. Align initiatives with client business priorities and sector-specific dynamics to deliver sustainable value.
  • C-Suite Advisory: Provide expert guidance to CFOs and senior finance leaders on transformation roadmaps, financial close and reporting enhancements, planning and analytics, cost performance optimization, and digital finance adoption. Lead executive workshops, steering committees, and high-impact stakeholder engagements to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Technology & Innovation: Drive technology-enabled finance transformations, including ERP implementations, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, advanced reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making frameworks. Leverage global best practices in digital finance, automation, and AI to modernize finance operations.
  • Programme Delivery & Risk Management: Oversee the economic viability, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and issue resolution of complex transformation programs. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining the highest standards of execution.
  • Business Development & Growth: Champion business development activities, including strategic account planning, client relationship cultivation, proposal development, and pitch delivery. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position the firm as a trusted advisor in finance transformation within the Saudi market.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor Associate Directors, Managers, and junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Collaborate with leadership to scale the Finance Transformation practice and enhance service offerings across the region.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, complemented by a professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is highly desirable, providing a strategic foundation for driving transformative change.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in consulting or within the Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) industry, with a proven track record in large-scale transformation program delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in serving clients within Energy, Natural Resources, Utilities, Chemicals, or similar asset-heavy sectors, with a focus on operational complexity and capital-intensive environments.
  • Strong business development acumen, including a history of proposal conversion, client relationship management, and senior stakeholder engagement. Big Four or top-tier consulting experience is a significant advantage.

Core Competencies

The ideal candidate will exhibit a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills, including:

  • In-depth understanding of finance functions within capital-intensive and operationally complex industries.
  • Proficiency in finance strategy, target operating model design, financial close and reporting transformation, and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
  • Expertise in cost optimization, profitability analysis, process redesign, governance enhancement, and KPI framework development.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence and engage C-suite stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storyboarding skills, with fluency in English required and Arabic proficiency considered a valuable asset.
  • Commercial awareness, structured problem-solving, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across finance, technology, and transformation workstreams.
