Key Responsibilities

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, your core responsibilities will include:

• Technical Operations: Perform detailed troubleshooting, testing, assembly, and disassembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct visual inspections, repair non-conforming equipment, and modify systems to meet performance standards, often with minimal supervision.
• Test Configuration & Analysis: Configure and operate test stations and systems, analyze environmental test data, and troubleshoot equipment anomalies to validate functionality and reliability.
• Collaborative Support: Assist in setting up experiments, recording data, and working closely with Engineering and Reliability teams to enhance product performance and innovation.
• Quality Assurance: Review and verify assembly, disassembly, and test procedures for accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and coaching to junior technicians, sharing expertise in electro-mechanical systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Safety & Compliance: Uphold Baker Hughes’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures to maintain a secure and sustainable workplace.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A two-year technical diploma or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with additional experience preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in an electro-mechanical technical role, demonstrating hands-on expertise in system troubleshooting and repair.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices, along with the ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
• Instrumentation Expertise: Proficiency in using measurement and gauging equipment, as well as tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal English language skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical findings.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
