Role Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer at NAPCO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational efficiency, reliability, and safety of our assets and manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of maintenance activities, including data analysis, fault diagnosis, preventive and predictive maintenance, and compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, optimizing maintenance resources, and driving continuous improvement in our engineering and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Monitoring and Analysis: Collect, interpret, and evaluate raw data from various sources to generate comprehensive reports that support informed decision-making across NAPCO. Your analytical insights will be critical in shaping maintenance strategies and operational improvements.
- Asset Condition Assessment: Monitor the state of assets using real-time condition data and performance indicators to assess their status. Your role will involve prioritizing maintenance resources to minimize downtime and costs while ensuring optimal asset efficiency.
- Fault Diagnosis and Rectification: Identify, isolate, and resolve faults in machinery and equipment to restore full operational capability. When necessary, you will conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement long-term solutions and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Technical Knowledge and Tools: Maintain a deep understanding of the machinery, spare parts, tools, and systems utilized in NAPCO’s maintenance practices. Your expertise will be essential in selecting the right resources for efficient and effective maintenance interventions.
- Software and System Proficiency: Operate NAPCO’s Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and other enterprise systems to streamline maintenance scheduling, tracking, and reporting. Your ability to navigate these tools will enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our maintenance operations.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance: Adhere to local, regional, and international occupational health and safety policies, as well as NAPCO’s internal standards and procedures. Your vigilance in interpreting legal requirements and regulations will be crucial in protecting human life, property, and preventing market losses.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and schedule maintenance interventions based on running hours, condition monitoring results, or predefined intervals to ensure assets operate at peak performance and avoid unplanned downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct systematic inspections and tests on tools, spare parts, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products using lab equipment. Your assessments will ensure adherence to performance and engineering standards, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
- Process Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the manufacturing process to identify opportunities for engineering and operational enhancements. Your insights will drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and overall process reliability.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, along with hands-on experience in maintenance operations. Proficiency in data analysis, CMMS software, and a commitment to safety and compliance are essential.
