About the Role
As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving Fina’s expansion by identifying, engaging, and onboarding new merchants, suppliers, and enterprise clients. Your responsibilities will center on cultivating strong, long-lasting relationships, thoroughly understanding client requirements, and presenting tailored financing solutions that align with their business objectives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to streamline the journey from initial lead generation to successful client activation, ensuring seamless execution at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients across priority sectors, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality leads.
- Client Outreach & Engagement: Conduct proactive outreach through meetings, site visits, and follow-ups with merchants, suppliers, and strategic partners to foster meaningful connections.
- Solution Presentation: Analyze client needs and propose appropriate financing solutions, including Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), Supply Chain Financing (SCF), and Revenue-Based Financing (RBF), to address their financial requirements effectively.
- Documentation & Coordination: Gather necessary client documentation and collaborate with internal teams—such as Credit, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Finance—to facilitate assessments, approvals, and smooth onboarding processes.
- Onboarding & Activation: Support the completion of contracts, client onboarding, invoice submission, and the go-live process to ensure timely and successful client activation.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, provide weekly activity updates, and generate pipeline reports to track progress and performance.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture trusted relationships with business owners, CFOs, procurement teams, and key decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Partnerships teams to align on campaigns, referral strategies, and client activation initiatives.
Your Ideal Profile
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to articulate complex financial products in a clear and compelling manner.
- Core Competencies: A proactive, target-driven, and highly organized approach, with the capacity to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Process Orientation: A strong grasp of client documentation requirements, follow-up protocols, and internal approval workflows.
- Collaboration Skills: The ability to work effectively across departments, including Credit, Risk, Legal, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, to drive cohesive outcomes.
- Performance Focus: A commitment to achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly business development targets.
