The Arab Lens is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations while contributing to strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, advanced technical skills, and the ability to lead financial initiatives with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders, including management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled promptly. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent discrepancies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop, monitor, and analyze annual budgets and financial forecasts. Identify variances, provide insights, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
• Tax Planning & Compliance: Lead tax planning initiatives, ensure adherence to local tax laws, and prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner. Work closely with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings proactively. Implement recommendations to enhance financial processes and controls.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and investment evaluations. Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and actionable format.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth. Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement automation tools, and enhance efficiency through technology adoption. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in accounting and finance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Experience in the media, entertainment, or technology sector is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables). Familiarity with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to interpret complex financial data. Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting is essential.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams with confidence.
