Key Responsibilities

• Operational Efficiency: Maintain and enhance the smooth functioning of the Laundry Department by efficiently processing linens, uniforms, and guest laundry while adhering to strict quality and hygiene standards.
• Guest and Team Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of clean linens and garments, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented culture.
• Equipment and Resource Management: Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and pressing machines, while ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition to minimize downtime.
• Inventory and Supply Tracking: Monitor inventory levels of detergents, fabric softeners, and other supplies, and promptly report any shortages or maintenance needs to the Laundry Supervisor or relevant management.
• Adherence to Protocols: Follow established safety, hygiene, and operational protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations and hotel standards, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
• Problem Resolution: Address any issues or discrepancies in laundry processing, such as stains, damages, or delays, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: A relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is highly preferred. Equivalent experience in a similar role may also be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in hotel operations, with prior exposure to laundry services or housekeeping departments being a distinct advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with laundry equipment, chemical handling, and standard laundry processes is essential. Knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional administrative skills, and excellent interpersonal communication are critical to thrive in this dynamic environment. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities is equally important.
• Physical Requirements: This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting and moving heavy loads, and operating machinery. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
