Sales Engineer – Al Rashed (Dammam)

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Technical Sales and Consultation: Provide expert technical advice to clients, understanding their requirements, and proposing suitable engineering solutions. This includes conducting detailed product presentations, demonstrations, and feasibility studies to align offerings with customer needs.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Market Development and Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within the industrial and commercial sectors, focusing on expanding market reach and increasing sales volumes. Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Proposal and Bid Management: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare competitive technical proposals, tenders, and bids. Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and aligned with company standards.
• Product Training and Support: Organize and deliver training sessions for clients and internal teams on product features, applications, and best practices. Provide post-sales technical support to address any issues and ensure seamless product integration.
• Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare detailed reports for management. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications in sales or business management are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a similar role within the industrial, oil & gas, or commercial sectors. Prior experience in a multinational or regional company is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, product specifications, and industry standards. Familiarity with CAD software, ERP systems, and CRM tools is a plus.
• Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals, negotiate contracts, and achieve sales targets. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is essential. Additional language skills are considered a valuable asset.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and occasionally internationally to meet clients, attend industry events, and participate in business development activities.
