In this critical position, you will operate heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport bulk materials such as steel, cement, aggregates, and other construction supplies. Your expertise in vehicle handling, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to operational excellence will directly contribute to the success of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all documentation, such as logbooks and delivery records, is accurately completed.
• Material Transportation: Load, secure, and transport bulk construction materials, including steel beams, cement bags, aggregates, and other heavy items, while adhering to weight limits and safety standards. Utilize appropriate loading equipment, such as cranes or forklifts, to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes.
• Route Planning and Navigation: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while minimizing fuel consumption and operational costs. Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to navigate efficiently, particularly in urban and industrial areas of Dammam. Stay informed about road conditions, traffic updates, and any temporary restrictions that may impact delivery schedules.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including those set by local authorities and the company. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all cargo is properly secured to prevent accidents or damage during transit. Participate in regular safety training sessions and report any hazardous conditions or near-miss incidents immediately.
• Customer Service and Communication: Maintain professional and courteous interactions with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Provide clear communication regarding delivery timelines, potential delays, or any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure that all deliveries are completed accurately and in accordance with customer specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Accurately record all delivery details, including times, mileage, fuel consumption, and any discrepancies or incidents. Submit daily reports to the operations team and escalate any concerns or issues that may affect delivery schedules or customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Driver, preferably in the construction or logistics industry. A valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Class 1 or equivalent) is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks with trailers. Familiarity with load securing techniques, vehicle maintenance, and basic troubleshooting is essential.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols, including defensive driving practices and adherence to traffic laws. Ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards in a dynamic work environment.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Capable of handling heavy materials and operating loading equipment as needed.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to interact professionally with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions to resolve issues, such as route deviations or delivery delays, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
