Overview
As a pivotal member of the Qiddiya leadership team, the Senior Manager - Entertainment Strategy is tasked with driving the strategic evolution of the organization’s entertainment assets. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role is instrumental in defining and executing the long-term vision for Qiddiya’s entertainment portfolio. The Senior Manager will lead the foundational stages of new entertainment destination development, ensuring that each initiative aligns seamlessly with Qiddiya’s strategic objectives, guest experience standards, and commercial goals. This position demands a blend of creative foresight, analytical rigor, and operational excellence to transform visionary concepts into tangible, high-impact entertainment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Execution: Collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Entertainment Strategy to implement and refine the overarching entertainment asset class strategies. Ensure that all portfolio and individual asset ambitions, visions, and objectives are met through meticulous planning and execution.
- Concept Development and Design Oversight: Lead the early-stage development phases—including ideation, pre-concept, and concept design—for new entertainment assets. Guide these initiatives through all subsequent development stages, guaranteeing alignment with Qiddiya’s entertainment portfolio and adherence to financial targets.
- Project Documentation and Governance: Develop and manage critical project documentation, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Scope of Work (SOW) documents, project programmes, strategy briefs, and various project matrices. Ensure these materials are comprehensive, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
- Stakeholder and Consultant Management: Oversee the engagement of external consultants, intellectual property (IP) licensors, and third-party collaborators. Facilitate alignment between these partners and Qiddiya’s strategic goals, ensuring that all insights and recommendations meet engagement objectives and business expectations.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on entertainment asset benchmarks, including theme parks, family entertainment centers, and other relevant sectors. Leverage these insights to inform robust decision-making and strategic planning.
- Go-Live Strategy Development: Contribute to the creation of initial go-live strategies for new entertainment assets, covering operating models, pricing frameworks, sales and marketing plans, and manpower planning. Provide implementation support to cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Stakeholder Communication and Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and strategic materials for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment across teams, secure necessary approvals, and effectively communicate the design and strategic intent of entertainment assets to drive consensus and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in real estate and entertainment project development, with a proven track record in strategic planning, concept development, and project execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, financial metrics, and industry benchmarks to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including consultants, licensors, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing project documentation, including RFPs, SOWs, and strategic briefs, to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven ability to translate strategic visions into actionable plans, with a focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences and achieving commercial success.
