Job Purpose

As an API Engineer (Arabic Speaker), you will lead the successful design, implementation, and continuous improvement of API integrations and system connectivity across internal platforms and external partners. This role serves as the technical bridge between business, engineering, and third-party stakeholders, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations that enhance operational efficiency, support business growth, and deliver an exceptional partner experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, APIs, and integration capabilities, providing technical guidance to internal teams, partners, and vendors.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain API integrations using proprietary technologies and third-party APIs to support business and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to define integration strategies and evolve system-to-system data exchanges as business needs grow.
• Monitor API performance, data integrity, and system health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize business disruption.
• Assess existing API capabilities and recommend process improvements, architectural enhancements, and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive API documentation, technical specifications, architecture documents, testing scripts, and integration processes.
• Promote best practices for API development, integration standards, security, and performance across development teams.
• Perform day-to-day operational support for business and system processes, ensuring the reliable operation of integration services.
• Communicate project progress, risks, challenges, and dependencies to stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of integration initiatives.
• Develop and execute system, integration, and data integrity testing, supporting quality assurance and validating successful implementation.
• Lead technical discussions with partners, clients, and vendors, communicating product capabilities, API specifications, and data requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners by providing ongoing technical support, resolving integration issues, and ensuring a high standard of service.
• Act as the primary liaison between external partners and internal teams to coordinate technical requests, issue resolution, and product enhancements.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and partners to track API performance, integration health, and business outcomes.
• Maintain stakeholder matrices, conduct gap analyses, and identify opportunities to improve partner engagement and integration effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. An MBA or Master's degree is an advantage. 2–4 years of experience working with API integrations, system integrations, or related technologies. Proficient in Arabic and English. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and API gateways is preferred. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is beneficial.
