Sales & Support Engineer in Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales & Support Engineer to join our Industrial Data Solutions Division in Dammam or Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of HMS Networks’ cutting-edge Industrial ICT solutions, including Ewon, Red Lion, N-tron, and Anybus. As a key technical resource, you will provide exceptional pre-sale and post-sale support, ensuring customers maximize the potential of our product portfolio while fostering long-term business relationships across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical support provider for the KSA, Bahrain, and Qatar markets, addressing customer inquiries related to software, hardware, and networking challenges. Own and resolve issues from inception to completion, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Customer Engagement & Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to plan projects, set up evaluation demos, and validate product configurations. Guide field trials and provide on-site training for integrators, major end-users, and certified channel partners to ensure seamless product adoption and integration.
• Market Development: Map and qualify HMS Networks’ product lines on major end-user vendor lists. Drive approvals for wireless products with local authorities such as CITC KSA, SASO/SABER, and key industry stakeholders including Saudi Aramco, SEC, and NWC.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support the Market Unit Technical Services team for other regions as needed, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances regional and global technical capabilities.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct technical onboarding sessions and workshops to enhance the expertise of partners and end-users, ensuring they are equipped to leverage HMS Networks’ solutions effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of five years of experience in Industrial Automation or IIoT. A degree in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required. Proficiency in English—both written and verbal—is essential, with Arabic language skills considered a strong advantage. You should have a deep understanding of IP/serial networks, PLC protocols, MQTT, OPC UA, IoT, protocol gateways, and industrial routers.

We are looking for a self-driven professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. You must be willing to travel extensively within the Middle East and stay updated on emerging technologies in networking, wireless, and IIoT applications.

Must-Have Requirements

• A valid KSA driver’s license.
• Transferable Aqama and NOC from your previous employer.
• A notice period of no more than one month.
• Access to a personal vehicle for business travel.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in Saudi Arabia with EPCs, system integrators, distributors, and end-users in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Manufacturing is highly desirable. Familiarity with industrial automation manufacturers and their ecosystems will be a significant advantage.
