Plant Operator & electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Operator & Electrician to join our dynamic team at Procter & Gamble’s state-of-the-art facility in Dammam. This dual-role position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of our manufacturing processes while ensuring the highest standards of electrical safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in both plant operations and electrical systems, enabling them to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment to support our production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operations: Monitor and control production processes to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency. Operate and maintain machinery, including pumps, conveyors, and other industrial equipment, while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including motors, control panels, wiring, and distribution systems. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Safety Compliance: Uphold Procter & Gamble’s rigorous safety standards by conducting risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Promote a culture of safety across the facility.
• Equipment Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, energy efficiency, and equipment upgrades. Implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety incidents. Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to align operational goals and achieve company objectives. Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or associate degree in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in plant operations and electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems. Familiarity with CAD software and maintenance management systems is advantageous.
• Certifications: Valid electrical license or certification (e.g., NEMA, IEC, or local equivalents) is required. Additional certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
