Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AMI Manager to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) operations, ensuring seamless integration, efficient management, and optimal performance of smart metering systems. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of AMI systems to support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• System Integration & Optimization: Oversee the integration of AMI systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow, system interoperability, and adherence to industry standards. Identify opportunities for system optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Data Management & Analytics: Spearhead the collection, analysis, and utilization of metering data to generate actionable insights, support decision-making, and improve service delivery. Implement robust data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between technical teams, senior management, and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, vendors, and customers. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all AMI operations comply with local and international regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to safeguard system integrity and operational continuity.
• Innovation & Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in AMI technologies, evaluating and recommending innovative solutions to enhance system performance, scalability, and sustainability.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets for AMI projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective implementation of initiatives. Monitor expenditures and performance metrics to achieve financial objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in AMI, smart grid technologies, or project management is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in AMI, smart metering, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. Prior experience in the energy or utilities sector is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of AMI architectures, communication protocols (e.g., RF mesh, PLC, cellular), metering data management systems (MDMS), and cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with IoT, cloud computing, and data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset are essential.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified AMI Manager (CAM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
