Key Responsibilities

As a Dispatcher at AL ITTEFAQ STEEL PRODUCTS CO., your primary responsibilities will include:

• Order Coordination: Receive, process, and verify customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness before dispatching. Collaborate closely with the sales and production teams to confirm order details and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Logistics Management: Schedule and assign delivery routes for drivers, taking into account factors such as delivery deadlines, traffic conditions, and vehicle capacity. Ensure that all shipments are dispatched in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communication Hub: Act as the central point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams. Provide real-time updates on shipment statuses, address any inquiries or concerns, and maintain clear and professional communication at all times.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all dispatched orders, including delivery confirmations, proof of delivery, and any relevant documentation. Generate reports on delivery performance, route efficiency, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, such as delays, route deviations, or customer complaints. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all dispatch activities adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards. Monitor driver compliance with traffic laws and company policies to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatching, logistics, or transportation role, preferably within the steel or industrial sector.
• Strong proficiency in logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are advantageous but not mandatory.
