Key Responsibilities

• Material Sorting and Preparation: Accurately sort, label, and organize steel bars and components based on specifications, ensuring they are readily available for production teams. Verify dimensions, grades, and quantities to prevent discrepancies in the workflow.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct routine inspections to identify defects, damages, or inconsistencies in materials. Report any issues to the supervisor and collaborate on corrective actions to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing materials. Utilize inventory systems to update stock levels and generate reports as required, ensuring optimal supply chain efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to workplace safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of heavy materials. Participate in safety training programs and contribute to a culture of accident prevention.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, and quality control teams to facilitate smooth operations. Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies, expedite deliveries, and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sorting equipment, tools, and machinery with precision. Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical training or certification in industrial operations is a plus.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting, with a focus on material handling or sorting, is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using basic tools, measuring instruments, and inventory management software.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, move, and position heavy materials weighing up to 50 kg (110 lbs) with or without assistance.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
