Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Parts Sales plays a pivotal role in overseeing Parts Operations across multiple locations, ensuring seamless inventory availability, strategic procurement, and revenue-driven parts sales. This position is instrumental in fostering operational excellence, enhancing inventory performance, cultivating robust supplier and wholesale partnerships, and bolstering workshop productivity through meticulous parts management. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Leadership: Develop and execute strategic inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement initiatives to align with business objectives and market demand.
  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Oversee OEM ordering systems, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and strengthen wholesale partnerships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective parts supply chain.
  • Inventory Optimization: Implement measures to maximize inventory turnover, reduce obsolete stock, and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Sales Growth: Drive parts sales across workshop, retail, and wholesale channels, identifying opportunities to expand market share and revenue streams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), stock accuracy metrics, and branch performance to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Data & Systems Management: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of ERP/DMS data, uphold operational standards, and leverage technology to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Customer & Partner Relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with independent workshops, fleet customers, and other stakeholders to foster loyalty, collaboration, and long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in Automotive Parts Management, with a proven track record in procurement, inventory planning, and parts sales.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with DMS/ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OEM parts systems (ETK/EPC), inventory control methodologies, and automotive supply chain operations.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical acumen, strategic negotiation skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively at all levels.
