Overview
As a Scout for Al-Qadsiah Club, you will be at the forefront of talent identification and evaluation, supporting both the First Team and Academy recruitment efforts. Your role will involve delivering comprehensive player assessments, contributing to recruitment strategies, and ensuring alignment with the club’s established scouting methodology and squad planning objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Player Evaluation and Analysis:
- Operate within the club’s scouting framework, methodology, and player profiling guidelines as outlined by the Lead Scout.
- Attend live and online matches to assess player performance across assigned regions in South America.
- Conduct in-depth research on leagues, competitions, and players identified by the club.
- Produce high-quality, structured scouting reports using club templates to support informed recruitment decisions.
- Intelligence and Information Gathering:
- Collect detailed background information and references on identified players to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their profile.
- Share all intelligence effectively to align with the club’s recruitment strategy and objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust network of contacts across clubs, agents, and scouting networks to facilitate seamless information exchange.
- Support the gathering of market intelligence on targeted players to inform strategic decisions.
- Internal Coordination and Communication:
- Attend scouting department meetings as required to contribute to collaborative decision-making processes.
- Communicate player insights clearly and concisely to recruitment staff and technical leadership to ensure alignment with broader recruitment objectives.
- Ensure that scouting outputs are consistently aligned with the club’s recruitment strategy and long-term squad planning.
- Professional Development and Standards:
- Engage in continuous professional development and training programs to enhance your scouting expertise and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Support additional responsibilities as required by the scouting department to contribute to its overall success.
Qualifications
While formal qualifications are desirable, the most critical factors for success in this role are your experience, skills, and passion for talent identification. Desirable qualifications include:
- Formal scouting certification, such as PFSA, UEFA Talent ID, or an equivalent credential.
- Coaching qualifications, including a UEFA License or equivalent, to provide a deeper understanding of player development and performance.
The essential requirements for this role include:
- Proven experience in scouting or recruitment within a professional football environment.
- A strong understanding of scouting principles and player profiling methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of league structures, player markets, and talent pathways in South America.
- Experience in assessing players in line with club-specific methodology and standards.
- Proficiency in both live and video scouting techniques to evaluate player performance comprehensively.
- Exceptional analytical skills to interpret performance data and produce structured, objective scouting reports.
- A solid understanding of recruitment strategy and squad planning to support long-term objectives.
- Familiarity with scouting software and data tools to streamline the evaluation process.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
- The capacity to work independently while maintaining alignment with the club’s scouting strategy and objectives.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including weekends and evenings, to attend matches and scout players across South America.
- A valid driver’s license to facilitate travel within the region.
Desirable experience includes presenting insights to senior stakeholders, demonstrating your ability to influence key recruitment decisions.
