Faculty Member in English - Preparatory Year

Batterjee Medical College invites applications for a dynamic and dedicated English Faculty Member to join our Preparatory Year Program.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing students’ academic English proficiency, communication skills, and readiness for medical and healthcare studies.

• Teaching & Academic Delivery: Deliver English language courses (reading, writing, listening, speaking) using student-centered methods, apply medical and academic terminology, and utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital tools effectively. Prepare and administer assessments, and maintain accurate records.
• Student Support: Provide academic guidance, support students in improving communication and study skills, and identify struggling students for targeted support.
• Academic Quality & Compliance: Ensure alignment with academic policies, contribute to course development, and submit academic documentation on time.
• Collaboration & Engagement: Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities, and collaborate with faculty to ensure consistent curriculum delivery.

We seek candidates with a PhD or Master’s in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related field, along with experience teaching English, preferably in preparatory/foundation programs. Strong communication and teaching skills, a student-centered approach, and adaptability are essential.
