Production Planning Coordinator

Position Overview

Musco Sports Lighting, a global leader in innovative and high-performance sports lighting solutions, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planning Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless execution of production schedules, optimizing workflows, and maintaining operational efficiency across our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to meeting customer demands, reducing lead times, and enhancing overall productivity within our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to align with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability. Ensure timely completion of orders while minimizing bottlenecks and downtime.
• Resource Coordination: Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to allocate materials, labor, and equipment efficiently. Act as a liaison to resolve resource conflicts and prioritize tasks based on business objectives.
• Inventory Management: Track raw material and finished goods inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses. Generate reports on stock status and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies as needed.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline production workflows, reduce waste, and improve cycle times. Implement best practices in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile and analyze production data to generate actionable insights. Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, throughput, and capacity utilization for senior management review.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in tandem with engineering, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure production plans support product development, quality standards, and customer commitments. Address production-related issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, change orders, and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A diploma in a relevant discipline with substantial experience may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in production planning, scheduling, or a related operational role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the lighting or electrical manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of production planning software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using analytical tools to optimize production schedules and resource allocation.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments. Strong organizational and leadership abilities to drive process improvements and motivate teams.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges. Ability to think critically under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional languages are a valuable asset.
