Job Overview
Ecolab Inc., a global leader in water, hygiene, and energy technologies and services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Leader to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing equipment reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in implementing TPM methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and ensure sustainable operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- TPM Program Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the TPM program, ensuring alignment with Ecolab’s global standards and local operational needs. Champion the 8 Pillars of TPM, including autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, quality maintenance, and safety, health, and environment (SHE) initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, equipment reliability enhancement, and waste reduction. Facilitate Kaizen events and root cause analysis (RCA) to drive sustainable improvements.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). Provide regular reports to leadership on TPM progress, challenges, and action plans.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to upskill employees on TPM principles, equipment maintenance best practices, and problem-solving techniques. Foster a culture of ownership and accountability among team members.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all TPM activities comply with Ecolab’s safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Promote a zero-incident safety culture through proactive risk assessment and preventive measures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between local operations and global TPM teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of best practices. Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage external expertise and resources.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably in a TPM or Lean environment. Experience in the FMCG, chemical, or industrial sector is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TPM methodologies, equipment reliability principles, and maintenance strategies. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and data analytics tools is advantageous.
- Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and motivate teams. Ability to drive change management and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Certifications: TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
